Kadrina Secondary School is situated in the northern part of Estonia, about 90 kilometres east of the capital Tallinn.
It is a secondary comprehensive school that offers education for free from classes 1-12 (ages 7-19) and follows the national curriculum of the Republic of Estonia.
Kadrina Secondary School is the largest country school in Estonia and students attending the school are mostly from Kadrina rural municipality.
In September 2021 there were 612 students and 57 teachers in Kadrina KK. The headmaster is Krõõt Nõmmela-Mehide and the headteacher is Virge Messer.
The highest number of teachers was 86 in 2002 and that of the students 964 in 2000.
The students in the school year 2021/22 are divided into 36 sets of classes which are marked with letters a, b and also c, d if there are enough students at the same age level.
Officially there are 4 school levels:
- 1st level – 1-3 classes
- 2nd level – 4-6 classes
- 3rd level – 7-9 classes
- 4th level – 10-12 classes
